About Us

The Sutter Health East Bay Region covers Alameda and Contra Costa counties with three medical centers spread across six campuses, plus a medical foundation of physicians at multiple care centers throughout the East Bay.

We offer comprehensive healthcare services in our communities, with a network of primary care physicians, specialists and hospitals offering specialty services.

Combined we have more than 8,500 employees and 2,100 physicians. Every year we deliver almost 10,000 babies, discharge more than 60,000 patients, treat 185,000 people in our Emergency Departments, and provide more than $120 million in community benefit and charity care to our communities.

The region consists of three established medical centers - Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Eden Medical Center and Sutter Delta Medical Center.

It also includes the Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation (SEBMF), and its affiliated East Bay Physicians Medical Group (EBPMG) with almost 200 physicians and a Community Provider Network (CPN) with hundreds of participating physicians.
